Before & After School Care

Through group and individual activities, children continue to learn more about themselves and the world they live in. They are given opportunities to discover and participate in activities that are particular to their interests as they begin to recognize and develop their natural abilities.

Our philosophy about the after-school program is to allow the children to “unload”, relax and enjoy themselves after-school. A typical day in public school consists of children adhering to rules,  work hard, listen, complete work in a timely manner and often times, children are not allowed to just “let loose”.  That is why after school, the first and foremost important part of our after-school program is playing outside or inside our gymnasium, allowing the children to be loud, run, talk, and enjoy themselves.

We Have a Wide Variety of Activities, and Homework Help.

Other things we do in the afternoon when time allows (after snack and homework) are : Arts/Crafts ,Cooking,Science projects, Music, After-schoolers newsletter (team effort), and participation in snack shop (each day the older children will open the snack shop for all children to purchase items such as pickles, chips, hot dogs, snow cones, popcorn, and ice cream. The snack does not replace our scheduled afternoon snack.  Prices for snack shop items are purchased by the children, and often times good behavior can earn “bucks” to purchase these items.

Homework Help or Tutoring is available by your child’s daycare teacher during working hours.  If you are interested in having your child tutored after hours, we can arrange assistance.  Our professional services in the area often allow us to have resources to help children.  Contact us to schedule a time that we can meet with you to discuss your child’s progress at school and areas of concentration in which he/she may need help.
